Sustainble Coffee Initiatives in Spanish Office. No more K-PODS!
We’re excited to share a positive change in our daily coffee habits! Our office has replaced the capsule coffee machine with a new bean-to-cup machine that uses Fair Trade certified coffee beans with a Grade B sustainability certification. This switch means we’ve eliminated the use of approximately 2.500 coffee capsules per year, significantly reducing our plastic and aluminium waste. In their place, we now use coffee beans, a more environmentally friendly alternative with a lower carbon footprint and less packaging waste.
Our coffee now comes from Fair Trade-certified beans with a Grade B sustainability label. By choosing ethically sourced beans, we support responsible farming, better working conditions, and a healthier planet—one cup at a time.
This small change has a big impact: 1) Less single-use plastic and aluminum waste. 2) Reduced carbon emissions associated with the production and disposal of capsules. 3) Support for ethical and sustainable coffee farming practices.
Every month, we receive a report that shows how our coffee choice is making a difference. These reports include data such as: - Kilograms of waste avoided - CO₂ emissions saved compared to conventional capsule coffee - Sustainable sourcing impact It’s a simple change, but it adds up.
